Thursday, December 3rd, 20092009 has been nice to Taylor Swift…professionally anyway.She has sold a ton of records and filled her mantle with countless awards and just this morning,she was nominated for 8 Grammy Awards.Not too shabby for a girl who can’t legally purchase liquor in a bar.
BTW I’m curious..why does Taylor Swift always seem to be surprised by these nominations?She knows she’s talented.She knows people are buying her music.She should expect this recognition from her peers.

Thursday, November 19th, 2009I don’t understand why America is determined to play the “poor little girl who always gets picked on” victim card for Taylor Swift.Its getting really boring honestly.
I watched the CMA awards and I think Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood did an awesome job presenting and I heard what Carrie said at the end while Brad was praising Taylor Swift but I didn’t read much into it.To me,it just wasn’t a huge deal but to the rest of the world,Carrie is apparently an attention whore who is jealous of Taylor’s spotlight.See the video below and be the judge:

She was awesome this past weekend on SNL.I loved the opening monologue song and the wink and whispered hi to Taylor Lautner was just way too sweet.
Her SNL monologue song reminded me of why I would never date musicians or song writers…not that I have any of them falling over each other to ask me out or anything.

With black men,its usually white girls who bring them down..just ask OJ Simpson or Kobe Bryant.Seriously though,its interesting to note that its not the paparazzi or some music industry giant who finally brought Kanye West to his knees but a little blonde country singing girl called Taylor Swift.Granted she’s a “giant” sales wise and in the country music industry but elsewhere she was literally unknown until the VMA incident.Now everyone is talking about her!And all this talk means new fans and more sales for Taylor so get it girl.She is very talented and so cute (check out her rap video with T-pain)!
Looking back on this mic-grabbing incident,I can’t help but wonder if Kanye would have done the same thing to say someone like Pink.I don’t think so which is why America is being so tough on him right now.He is a big bully who picked on a little girl infront of the entire world.The world hates bullies so even though Kanye has apologised a gazillion times,I can totally understand why people are just not ready to forgive him.
